So, let’s talk cleaning products. Do you know if the ones you’re using are healthy for you? Now, i’m not here to judge. If you’re happy with what you use, this article may not be for you. But, even if you love them, I encourage you to read along!

I never used to think twice about the products i used, i thought that anything marketed to me would automatically be safe to use. But, after learning more and more about all of the harmful chemicals in some of the most popular marketed cleaning products, it became my mission to clean up the ones I use at home. I wanted products that were completely safe for my kids to use and don’t leave behind any heavy smells that could irritate our family’s allergy problems.

I want to share with you an amazing product I found that checks off all of the boxes on my list. Who would have thought that a cleaning product could make me so dang excited, but this stuff makes me want to shout from the rooftops!

Randomly, one day on Instagram, I came across a company called Branch Basics. What caught my eye right away was the beautiful packaging, but their message was also very intriguing. I wanted to learn more! After following them for a few weeks, I began to see why so many people were sharing their love for the product.

I was quickly sold after learning how they are completely toxic-free, but also actually got things CLEAN…a Double Whammy! What is also awesome, is that you can make ALL the cleaners you’ll need with just ONE concentrate. They have their own separate bottles for everything from windows to laundry and show you right on the side how much water and concentrate to put in. It makes it super simple to mix up cleaner as you need it.

I started out with just the all-purpose spray and sample concentrates. After using it for about a month, I was even more in love with the product and purchased all of the other bottles. I have one for the bathroom, windows, all-purpose, hand soap and laundry. There is even a convenient “auto-ship” option to have the concentrate sent to me every few months and…BOOM…I’m all set with every cleaning product I’ll ever need. It really has been that easy.

So here’s the pros and cons and my real feelings about what’s good and not so great about Branch Basics!

PROS

Branch Basics is so toxic-free that I can even soak my produce in it or use it as a body soap. What’s also a bonus is that it’s plant & mineral-based, free of harmful preservatives and fragrances, biodegradable, not tested on animals and non-GMO. And as far as the toxic scores, it’s a 0 on the EWG.org website and ThinkDirty App. You can’t get better than that!

I love it so much that I’ve been gifting it to family and friends for the holidays. Everyone who has used has raved about it. If you’re looking to switch your family to a non-toxic lifestyle, cleaning products should be one of the first things you change since you’re using them constantly.

CONS

There basically are none. The only, and I mean ONLY, downside is that you can’t buy their products in stores. You have to purchase from their website. They make it so easy tho. There are auto-ship options so you can get what you need delivered right to your door as often as you need it!

One more sort of con is that it isn’t a disinfectant. The truth is, we don’t need to be wiping every surface in our home with a disinfectant. Most germs can be wiped off a surface or are broken down after spraying with a soap cleaner like this. But, for things like raw chicken or nasty stomach bugs, i personally still keep some disinfectant sprays that i use only occasionally.

What you wipe your surfaces with and spray around your home can linger for long periods of time. And with kids and pets practically licking and touching everything, it’s best to have everything be as safe as possible! Using a product like Branch Basics gives you peace of mind that you have a cleaner in your home that is completely safe for your family and the environment. It’s seriously the only product you’ll EVER need because it’s literally EVERY product you need!
