A little about me…

Hey there, I’m Laura. I live in southeast Michigan with my two young girls and hard-working hubby.  I spend my days as a stay-at-home mommy, freelance graphic designer, and in the past, have also run a handmade jewelry business for both Etsy and a local shop. I have to say, it was a lot to handle.

In an effort to simplify, I recently closed up my jewelry shop. My heart just wasn’t in it anymore and it was very time-consuming to hand-make enough jewelry to fill up a small shop. Plus, I wanted to focus more on my graphic design business.

Some of my other loves in life are midday iced coffee, succulents, a beautiful sky,  running, the color pink, trying new recipes, and warm summer days!

After graduating from college, I worked in the professional world for 6 years. I held a few different positions from a graphic designer for an indoor tanning magazine to a designer at both large and small ad agencies, and even worked for the U.S. Army making graphics and presentations. I feel the variety of these positions in those 6 years, really helped build my experience working on a wide range of projects.

In 2011, I decided to quit the 9-5 life when my first daughter was born and work as a freelance designer. I’ve been lucky to have some consistent clients in those years that have kept me busy and up to date in my field. And, now that my kids are in school full time, I’m finally at a point where I can work close to full time continuing as a freelancer.

Helping clients take their visions and bring them life for their companies is what drives me as a designer! I’m available for any design needs you may have. Shoot me an email with you project details and we’ll have chat about it!
